INSCYD and CANYON//SRAM have signed a partnership agreement. INSCYD becomes the official performance software supplier of the women’s cycling team CANYON//SRAM.
With fifteen riders from eleven different countries, CANYON//SRAM Racing is home to a diverse group of highly ambitious women. The team is currently racing the Giro Donne.
How CANYON//SRAM uses INSCYD
The new partnership with INSCYD enables CANYON//SRAM to get a full metabolic profile of the riders, using an analysis that is scientifically validated specifically for females. The team can now get lab test results without visiting one. By using lactate field tests and remote power-only tests, the individual metabolic profile of the riders will be identified and tracked over time.
“INSCYD is central to our ability to monitor riders' performances and enable us to make better recommendations about training interventions depending on their individual metabolic fitness, event demands and each riders longer term development strategy.”
With the data provided by INSCYD, the team can easily see what an individual athlete should improve to reach her goal as effectively as possible. INSCYD’s Performance Projection will tell them exactly how much a rider’s VO2max should increase to increase anaerobic threshold by 5%, or how much VLamax should decrease to increase fat combustion by 10%.
Team coaches will use INSCYD functions and metrics to:
- Create fueling (nutrition) plans based on the amount of carbohydrates that an individual rider burns.
- Create individual interval training, based on lactate accumulation and recovery
- Use training zones, based on master metrics like %VO2max to determine interval intensity and %FatMax to determine endurance training zones.

INSCYD enables CANYON//SRAM to process test data while acknowledging differences between males and females.
